The Seminars in Translational Research (STRECH) series is a collaborative project among the:
- UT Health San Antonio Institute for Integration of Medicine & Science (IIMS)
- UT San Antonio Joint Graduate Program in Biomedical Engineering (BME)
The IIMS program is supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The seminars bring together investigators from basic, clinical, and social sciences to highlight the bidirectional and multiple stages of the scientific translation of research discoveries from the bench to the bedside and to the community. It promotes the formation of multidisciplinary teams from both institutions, and other IIMS partners, that foster the development of innovative theories, approaches, and technologies in clinical and translational research.
Seminars are held virtually on a monthly basis during the fall and spring semesters, making participation accessible to attendees from both campuses.
