Description
Landscape architect Ron Henderson (Illinois Institute of Technology, LIRIO Landscape Architecture) will speak about trees in landscape architecture design based on his recent book, 30 Trees … And Why Landscape Architects Love Them. Henderson will introduce the structure and overall content of the book which invited 30 global landscape architects to write about their favorite species of tree. Henderson will discuss topics from the book, including tree planting types as well as his essay with Toru Mitani, Increments of Time in Japanese Cherry Blossoms. Finally, he will invite the audience to share discussions on their own favorite trees of Texas and elsewhere.
