Carlos Velez is the new Program Coordinator for Outreach and Diversity in the College of Engineering’s Student Success Center. His role is to assist in the retention, persistence, and graduation of College of Engineering students while also supporting the recruitment of underrepresented student populations. Carlos previously worked at Northwest Vista College and Texas A&M-San Antonio working with Academic Advising, Career and Transfer Services, Financial Air, and Admissions. This month, Carlos will also become a UTSA alumni as he graduates with a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration.
