Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design is proud to announce two key leadership appointments, reflecting our ongoing commitment to fostering excellence in administration, research, and student success.
Dr. Chris Rathbone, Associate Dean of Administration
Dr. Chris Rathbone has been appointed as the Associate Dean of Administration at Klesse College. Dr. Rathbone brings a wealth of relevant experience and a forward-thinking vision for enhancing the faculty experience and overall culture of the college. Having previously served as the Assistant Chair of the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Chemical Engineering, Dr. Rathbone has demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills. His active role in the UT System Trauma Research and Combat Casualty Care Collaborative (TRC4) further underscores his ability to engage with faculty across the university and tackle complex challenges. Dr. Rathbone has also been a vital member of the college, contributing to numerous committees, including his role as Chair of the College Awards Nomination Committee. Known for his collaborative nature and exceptional communication skills, Dr. Rathbone embodies the qualities essential for fostering the vibrant, inclusive, and dynamic culture that Klesse College strives to maintain.
Dr. Ram Krishnan, Associate Dean of Graduate Studies
Dr. Ram Krishnan has been appointed as the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies at Klesse College. Dr. Krishnan has been an invaluable member of the UTSA community, recognized for his exemplary work in research, innovation, and teaching. His numerous accolades, including the UTSA President’s Distinguished Award for Research Achievement, the UTSA Innovation Award, and the University of Texas System Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award, are a testament to his profound impact on both our institution and his field. With a strong background in scholarship and a deep understanding of the needs of our students and faculty, Dr. Krishnan is well-positioned to lead our graduate programs to new levels of success. His visionary approach, coupled with his dedication to fostering collaboration, ensures that he will continue to elevate our students' academic experience while strengthening the graduate education framework at Klesse College.
