Read the full Q&A below to learn more about her journey.

What is your major?

Civil Engineering.

What is your next goal after graduating?

I plan to work in the industry for a couple of years before attending graduate school so I can later become a professor!

What was your favorite part about your time at UTSA?

The community. UTSA is filled with many opportunities and faculty members that are passionate in helping their students succeed and find their own unique path during college. I'm happy I was able to meet amazing people that were supportive during my years at UTSA and that I could go to with any problems.

What advice do you have for other students in your major?

I would recommend being involved in organizations or events outside of your major. Along with my engineering friends, I have met many of my friends that are in majors who I never would have had a class with if it weren't through these organizations. Through them, I've been able to find out about various other opportunities UTSA has to offer.

Were there any faculty, students, or organizations that have contributed to your success here?

Alegra Lozano, the director of the academic counselors in the Honors College, has played a huge role in being part of my support system during my time here at UTSA. She has always made sure to remind me of my potential and made sure I could go to her for anything!
