My Le, BS Architecture
Spring 2025 Graduate

MAY 5, 2025 - When My Le first began his journey at Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design he could never have imagined what amazing adventures he would go on. Now, after studying abroad on three different continents, forming lasting connections with his peers, and pursuing a path he had been passionate about for a long time, My Le will graduate with a degree in Architecture.

After his graduation, Le plans to attend UT Austin to obtain his Master’s in Architecture. Read the full interview below to learn more about his inspiring journey here at UTSA.

What made you decide to attend UTSA?

I decided to attend UTSA in the recognition that it is an influential university in such a robust and lively city. Being at UTSA means staying close to home, yet at the same time, means getting to explore and experience San Antonio through a different perspective that’s exciting in terms of careers and professional network.

When did you figure out what you wanted to study in college?

I have always been a person who is attracted to design and math growing up, and more and more every day it’s just naturally become something that I gravitate towards as my long-term passion, and thus picking Architecture was one of the major options I had long considered.

What did you enjoy most about your experience at UTSA?

Through my time at UTSA, I’ve had the honor and the opportunity to study abroad in three countries around the world, each one in a different continent of their own. I truly enjoyed the amount of opportunities and resources available at UTSA to help support my growth as a global citizen.

What have you learned, in your time at UTSA, that surprised you the most?

The diversity of the student body. I mean, I didn’t expect to get to learn, play, and connect with such a diverse group of people when I first picked UTSA. And every day, people surprise me more with stories of where they came from, or why they are here. It’s fascinating!

Do you have any goals or plans after graduation?

After my graduation, I will be going to UT Austin for the Master’s program in Architecture starting this fall. I’m excited to still stay close to home but at the same time getting to experience and learn in a different city with new people.

What advice do you have for people considering the programs at UTSA?

I would say that they should totally do it. I want to assure them that UTSA is full of events, activities, resources, and opportunities to support and enrich their goals and values as they progress as young adults beyond high school.

What is your life motto/ slogan?

I don’t remember the exact author but I have this quote written on my whiteboard at home: “How you live your day is how you live your life.” It’s a thoughtful reminder everyday to be kind to others and to be kind to your future self and make that extra effort so that you will have no regret at the end of the day.
