Ender Finol, Zachry Mechanical Engineering Department Endowed Chair and Fellow of ASME, AHA, AIMB, has recently been selected to join an esteemed group of researchers and become a Biomedical Engineering Society Fellow (BMES). Finol was selected alongside twelve other researchers as BMES’ class of 2025, a remarkable achievement honoring his outstanding achievements in the field of biomedical engineering.

Ender FinolFinol was chosen due to his ongoing work developing algorhthyms to assess abdominal aortic aneurysms risks. In addtion to those algorithms, Finol's work on creating performance assessment protocols for distal protection devices in carotid artery stenting was also highlighted.

To be named as a BMES Fellow is a momentous achievement, and we are delighted to honor this grand accomplishment.

Finol joins Nehal Abu-Lail and Rena Bizios as BMES Fellows at Klesse College.
