Meet Austin Dominguez, a Spring '26 graduate who's obtaining his degree in Mechanical Engineering. Before arriving at Klesse College, Austin knew exactly what he wanted to do and where he wanted to go. After tons of hard work, Austin is gearing up from graduation and is ready to make his dreams a reality.

What made you decide to attend UT San Antonio?
I wanted to get a job at the Toyota manufacturing plant.
Did you have any experience with your field before starting at Klesse College? If not, what inspired you to pursue a career in your field?
I was hit by a car at 15 years old and I have since wanted to pursue a career in autonomous vehicles to improve road safety.
What did you enjoy most about your experience at UT San Antonio?
My professors consistently went above and beyond to ensure my understanding of material. I have always felt support by faculty and staff in my academic and professional goals.
What are your goals or plans after graduation?
I plan to work in the autonomous vehicle industry.
What advice do you have for people considering the programs at UT San Antonio?
I think this is asking me to offer advice on what degree program to select. My advice is to base your program of selection on your job interest post-graduation. Your degree should serve as a gateway to the types of roles that most interest you.

Fail fast and fix faster.

My two dogs, Bailey and Joules.
