A Decade-Long Partnership Is Building Better Tools for Emergency Airway Care

The first few minutes of care an emergency room patient receives can determine their chance of survival. The odds get worse if they can’t breathe. For a decade, two UT San Antonio faculty members — an engineer and an emergency physician — have worked to give first responders better tools for those minutes.
