Klesse Summer Camp Experience

Youth Robotics Summer Camp

The summer camp kicks off with hands-on learning in robotics and STEM.

What to Expect:

  • Day 1: Introduction to FIRST robotics competition and team building;
  • Day 2: Build robot for drive train;
  • Day 3: Use servo to build intake / delivery subsystems;
  • Day 4: Program for your robot in Java;
  • Day 5: Robotic competition among the team.

Lab tours and invited talks on Robotics and STEM will be scheduled in the summer camp as well. You can register for either the morning or the afternoon session for robotics, as both sessions will cover the same course materials.

Camp Fee:

$150 + processing fee

Tuition Assistance:

A 50% reduction or full waiver is available for qualifying low-income families. Please contact the camp director for more details.

Sound and Stitch Coding Camp

The summer camp kicks off with an exciting exploration of programming through music composition.

What to Expect:

  • Day 1: By the end of Day 1, campers will have composed their own music using blocking programming in a Python tool.
  • Days 2–4: Campers will dive into creating embroidery art with block coding and bring home unique designs produced by an embroidery machine.
  • Day 5: campers will enjoy a gentle introduction to Python, learning how to write code that generates their own digital artwork.

Camp Fee:

$300 + Processing Fee
