URP Computer Lab: Enhancing Planning and Design Learning
Resources, Software, and Collaborative Spaces for Urban and Regional Planning Students
The URP Computer Lab has 15 desktop computers optimized for planning learning. This computers have:
Arc GIS Pro
Students have additonally access to the following ArcGIS add-ons(Urban Analyst,Survey 123, Community Analyst, Drone2Map, Spatial Analyst, Business Analyst)
Students have access to learning and practice resources for to acquire computer programming skills. Courses such as URP Methods I and Methods II actively employ R as the main software to analyze data, mapping and learning scale-up tasks.
UTSA offers Coursera Micro-credentials free to its students that need to refresh or learn R all together.
Design space
Our Lab has a large central table and drawing resources that allow for collaborative learning and creation.
