The NSF-funded S-STEM program aims to empower academically talented students to pursue successful careers in the STEM field. Ultimately, we seek to expand the pool of promising students who graduate with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or chemical engineering so they can move on to contribute to society.
S-STEM scholars receive up to $15,000/academic year, up to five years while completing their undergraduate studies, depending on their unmet financial need. They have access to conducting research, faculty and peer mentoring, presenting their research projects, and a community of like-minded students.
The application for the 2025-2026 award year will open Fall 2025.
