Engineers Without Borders - Cameroon

Currently, EWB-UTSA is working on a major water distribution system project in Biagnimi, Cameroon. This rural community of over 3,000 residents currently relies on a shallow, unsanitary well for water. The project will include drilling a new deep well and building a full distribution system to deliver clean, accessible water. This project began in February of 2025 and is set to complete in 2028.

Join a Design & Build Team

Push your creativity, collaboration, and engineering skills to the next level by joining one of UTSA’s student-led competition teams. Whether you're into autonomous underwater vehicles, launching rockets, racing Formula‑style cars, or building canoes and steel bridges, there's a project for you. These high-impact teams bring together students across disciplines to innovate, build, and compete nationally and internationally.

Become a Klesse Ambassador

UTSA Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design Ambassadors act as student hosts at campus events, university events, and mentor students at local high schools. The Klesse Ambassador Program is a leadership program and includes opportunities to represent Klesse College and access to professional and leadership development. To be a Klesse Ambassador, students must maintain a 3.0 GPA and participate in 65 hours of service activities throughout the fall and spring semesters.

“I was welcomed into Engineers Without Borders as a Freshman, and through my participation in the Guatemala project, I applied technical knowledge which I used in my first internship. Engineers Without Borders seeks to provide life-changing infrastructure to places in need, while offering students the opportunity to grow as well.”
Christopher Leecock, Junior
